A funny story....

This might offend some.....I really hope it does not. Kelsey said it all so matter of fact.

I'm driving in the car.

I can see her n the rear view mirror. She has her thumb and pointer finger from each hand together. Then she brings both hands together to make the tinniest triangle.

Kelsey: You see this?

Me: What?

Kelsey: DO you see how small this is?

Me: Yes Kelsey I do. What is it?

Kelsey: My boobs. They are so tiny Mom. You see tiny like this. She is doing her hand gesture again and is showing me.

Kyler:(From the back seat)Did she say boobs? Snicker snicker....

Kelsey:Did I say a bad word? Mommy I'm sorry. They are so small. Not like you!!!

Me: I have not spoken yet. Kilean is in the front seat with her hand over her mouth.

We decide to let it go. I did tell her she was right and they would grow. She said ok and continued with her talking the whole way there!!!

I'm just sharing a 5 minute blurb in my busy, hectic, fun life!!!!!

Mommy Tip Tuesday!!!

If your kids love baths they will love this.......

I got Kelsey the cutest toy ever!!! It is called Bath time Belle. She comes with a little wand that you put bath fizzies into. She puts the wand into the water and it changes the color. We loved it. Belle is in the bath tub with her every time. It did not come with a lot of bath fizzies. So near the end we had to use them sparingly. I thought I would be able to find more tablets but I was wrong........ Kelsey played with her Bath time Belle without her wand(working that is).

I looked at stores and online for replacement tablets. I had no luck. One day I was in Walmart and I found this.......

The answer to Kelsay's prayers. Tablets!!!!!They are made by crayola and they work wonderfully. They cost 3.49. Kelsey does not ask for much, but she loves taking a bath. And now I do not have to expain again(for the millionth time)why we ran out of tablets and why I can't "just get some more!!"

Another CVS story....

I was at the grocery store today getting stuff for girls camp and the BBQ we were having today. All of a sudden I asked my friend, "What day is it?" Now you would think something important was happening. No it was me fretting that one of my precious ECB coupons had expired. They had. One for 16.47. At this point I have forgotten why I was at Walmart, and I am deep in thought on the money wasted. I wondered what I had bought that was no longer "FREE"

So I called CVS. And asked them if I am out of luck. The cashiers in the past have told me to NEVER let them go bad. But this one was awesome. She told me to get in as quickly as I could and she would take care of it. They sometimes take them even if they are expired. She said do not ever throw them away. I almost had.

So I went in and bought 44.00 worth of stuff and paid 1.36 OOP and got 12.00 back in ECB.

I was thrilled. So the moral of the story is it always pays to ask......Never throw away and expired ECB, and always shop at CVS!!!!!!!

CVS.... another fabulous day!!!!

I had 2 coupons for CVS that were going to expire today. One for 19.99 and another for 11.97. I had to make it a point to use my coupons or be out 32 smackeroos. That was not going to happen to me....

Transaction number 1.....

I just love this store. I spent a little over 30.00 in merchandise. After coupons I paid 1.60 OOP (out of Pocket) The best part I got 6.00 back in ECB's.
I was excited about this deal but a little more on the next deal. Oh and I also got a coupon for 10.00 off your next purchase of 50.00 or more.

Transaction #2

I used the 10.00 coupon I got in the 1st transaction plus I had 45.00 more in coupons. My total over 55.00. I spent 1.70 OOP and wait for it....... I got back 16.00 in ECB's

Moral of the story..... Don't let you ECB's expire and look at the CVS adds. They have one for every month. Then they also do one for every week. I found it a little confusing to start with, but fun in the end.

I have to limit my shopping there. I have found it to be addicting. I am sometimes more interested in how much free stuff I can get. Or what is the best scenario I can come up with....So in the end I will never run out of razors, shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, soap, and I had fun doing it!!!!

Summer begins today... on a rainy 65 degree day!!!!!

Today is the last day of quiet around her!!!!. Kyler had a field trip/ice cream social. I'm sure his last week of school was more fun than learning. But they all earned it.

Keigan will go into 11th, Brie'el 10th, Kilean 8th, And Bryce 6th!!!!
The kids are going up too fast around here.

I think Kyler has really gotten the concept of swinging down!!!!

I remember when I had to help Kyler with the monkey bars. now he can do it all on his own. Another proud moment.

Say cheese!!!!

Now that school is out, we have already slid into comfortable mode rather quickly around here. I am glad. The kids worked so hard. They really need a break.

There is one little thing I need to make sure I have a hold on before we get much further......That is the mess. One good thing about them at school is they do not leave anything behind. But when they are home that is another story. My favorite catch phrase is "That was not me" I am going to have to practice what I preach and stick to my guns and NOT ARGUE WITH CHILDREN!!!!

But other than that I am very excited to have them all home and have a wonderful summer.

Kindergarten Graduation!!!!

Kyler did an amazing job this year. He learned his ABC's and 123's. He learned how to read and made lots of friends. The entire Kindergarten class sang to us today in this adorable graduation ceremony. It was so cute to listen to all the kids sing. Every child was adorable. I am super proud of Kyler. He was able to come home early. That was a treat. We had a lunch together and we played. We have a field trip to Augusta Ranch Park tomorrow and an ice cream social. Fun Stuff!!!!

This is Kyler's class singing!!!!

A special thanks to Ms Quick. She is a fabulous well organized kindergarten teacher. I would recommend her hands down!!!!

Another thanks to her aid Mrs.Garcia. A huge reason to Ms.Quick's success is Mrs. Garcia. I can not say enough kind words about both of them.

This is Kyler's class. I love kindergarten rooms. There is an innocence about them you don't find in the older classrooms.

I am so proud of you guys!!!!!!!

Bryce and Kilean had their saxophone recitals tonight. I am super proud of them. I am lucky enough to have the best saxophone teacher in town. She puts so much effort into each child. I could ramble on and on about her....

Kilean has gone since 4th grade and has exceed far beyond and of our expectations. Bryce started late this year and has improved more than a grade level.

This is Kilean playing her very own soprano saxophone. She shines on this instrument. She is playing with a senior from Dobson High and Miss Judi!!!

It's Bryce's turn. This is his 2nd recital so he was a little nervous. But he played just fine!!!!

This is the group. These kids are all great friends. I feel lucky to be a part of it.

This group is amazingly fun to be around. Can you tell how silly they are?

Judi and my kids.

Just Kilean....

Each recital she gets something special for the kids. She had these shirts made for them. They are awesome. Not to mention all the other things she did tonight! She always goes overboard.

Mommy Tip Tuesday.....

I was talking to a friend yesterday, and we agreed everything is better cooked with butter or bacon.I still believe that to be true. But I did forget one little secret.
Now this is not for any of you on a diet or watching the fat intake of their diet. This is for people like me. People who like good food who sometimes forgo the "diet" for awhile.

My secret is this bad boy......

Let's see....you can cook just about anything in this I guess. But here are a few of our favorite "Deep Fried " fav's.......chicken nuggets, frozen burritos, taquitos, fish sticks, french fries, tator tots, won tons, tempura, Katsu chicken, coconut shrimp........

If I do fish, I will change the oil. If not, I can reuse the oil for about a week. It is really quick to heat up and super fast to use.

We don't use it all the time but when I pull it out we try to figure out what we can deep fry next. I would say frozen burros and chicken nuggets are the most liked:)

T-ball is over!!!!!

I am happy/sad all in one on this one. Kyler really enjoyed t-ball. It was finally his turn to play. I will not lie to you, there were times when he did not want to go. At one point in time, he decided it was boring and he had already "mastered the game". At age 6!!!!

He loved hitting practice in the back yard or playing catch. He really liked playing with his friends and getting to know new ones.

But there is the biggest fun thing of all....snacks!!!!! We had snacks the last game. Kyler insisted in Baseball cookies. I had fun with them. He was so proud...

Now we all know the REAL reason why our kids love to play sports. Trophies!!!!!! I must say he is slightly disappointed he has to wait for it. We thanked the coach, gave them our gift.....Now where's my trophy!!!!

As you can see Kyler learned a lot this year playing ball. We now understand there are 4 bases. We know which direction to run. We are learning EVERYONE does now need to run for the ball(Magnet ball we call it),and most of all, we learned to be a team player!!!!

Any Indiana Jones Fans out there?

We are very excited for the new Indiana Jones movie to come out. "The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" May 22nd is opening day.

It's funny I can remember as a child these movies new to theatre. My kids are now watching them. We are having a marathon this weekend. I bought Frank the movies on dvd for his Happy Birthday and the kids are loving it!!!!

I am excited to see the difference in technology from the origional movies to today.

I am hoping to finish out this Saturday on the couch with some popcorn and a soda!!! Wish me luck.

My turn for a haircut!!!!!!

I finally got the time set aside for me to get a haircut. I'm not saying I love the photo of myself..... BUT I love the cut.

I wanted to get a fresh new cut for the summer. My number 1 rule. It has to still be able to go into my woopda. For all of you wondering what he is, That is my ponytail updo that I have done for the last 3 months. Frizzy long hair needs to be up!!!!!

My kids say it looks good..... That is all that matters to me:)

Mommy Tip Tuesday!!!!

I have decided that I love these!!!!!!Kyler and Kelsey will sit anywhere and color. They are different. They are wonderful. They do not make a mess. You can not write on others. Or on the walls, your arms, legs, face, or your little sister. Oh and I forgot... the seat in your car.

They come in finger paints or markers. The coloring books come in many Disney themes. Kyler got "Cars" and Kelsey got "Mermaid" They also have writing tablets you can make up your own designs on.

My kids love any activity.....

The finger paints are way fun...

I think Kelsey loves her Disney Coloring books the best.

If you are looking for something different, something new, and something mess free, this is the answer for you!!!!!

Happy Mother's Day.....

We had a pretty good day over here. Mom , Corbin, Dylan, and Aaron came over for lunch. I made homemade burritos. Dylan and Aaron had 2 trapeze classes today so they were only able to stay til 1pm. We had a great visit even though it was cut short. Thanks guys for putting together the fish tank stand.

Frank and the kids all went to the pet store and bought me a fish tank with 9 tin foil barbs. To represent each member of our family. It was really nice of them. A little bit of work to get together, but a nice surprise.

I put a roast in the oven so we all enjoyed that for dinner. It was nice to have everyone over and not worry about the time. The kids went swimming, did homework, and slept. Even Corbin caught some zzzz's.

We ate a ton of food and had a great day. I also got 2 bunches of flowers and a fuchsia plant. I love them. In Washington, that was my favorite plant. I have not seen them forever!!!! I am hoping to keep it alive for awhile. Or until it starts getting too hot.

I hope all of you had a great Mother's day. I did. I got the cutest card from Kyler. Apparently the most favorite thing I make is Spanish rice. I got a recipe book from all the kindergartners. My favorite part is "when you pull it out of the oven... that is when it is done!!"

My kids made me wonderful cards this year. I got a foot rub from Bryce, and Hollister flip flops from Brie'el.

All in all, Being a mother is a fabulous and wonderful thing....

This is an adorable toy we bought Brenlie for the summer.....As you can see everyone likes it:)

I just love days like this.....

Brenlie has learned how to climb up this slide. As her favorite thing is to stand at the top. It is "down" I am worried about.
