It's been 20 years!!!!

Can you say go MARAUDERS!!! That's what I said when I was in high school. We were the Mariner Marauders. GO figure. Remember... 88 is great. 20 years later I'm not sure if we put the appropriate time in that saying. Is it catchy? Not sure!!!

I am so excited to be getting away this weekend. I am a little unsure about the reunion, but very excited about the getaway. I find that small pit in my stomach that I had in school. I had a lot of friends sure, but it boils down to the big events. It is always the same girls that go out of their way to be better than everyone else. You know the mean girls.Only now there is one big difference. I do not care!!!

I am more curious where everyone has ended up, and am looking forward to reconnect with a couple of friends I have not seen in awhile.

Lets just face it I will not have to take any one to school, make meals, make beds, laundry, clean, answer the same question all day long, wipe a bottom, answer to ANYONE for 3 days. Life will be a little bit quieter. Hey I might even finish Wild Swans... I am about half the way thru. Lack of time you see.

I'll be back on Sunday night. Have a great weekend!!!!!!

Hole in the rock

This was fun. It has been so long since we have been here. It was a super easy hike and a great view.

This was the group. I am so glad all my kids went. We all had fun exploring. We were glad it was easy. Cuz it is still hot out here!!!

I love this one of Brenlie and I. She loved her backpack. This made things real easy for me. She would tap my shoulder and point where she wanted to go!!!

You can climb to the top and there is another hole. The bigger kids liked this one.

This is a good one of Bryce....

Kilean and Kyler. They loved the view.

I'm not sure why but Kelsey picked these dorky glasses to wear. You got to love her sense of style.

Can we keep it?

How many times have I hear this already?.....

Kilean went to the park with the kids. She came back with this.....

Doesn't it look like a baby chick?

I will eat food and spit it out...The bird will eat it right?

The funny thing is they were SERIOUS!!!!! So my kids want this little baby bird. I am a firm no. It will die without the proper care. So in my spare time(LOL) I look online for a phone number for "animal rescue". This bird is real young so it needed help quick. After being on the phone for awhile I learned it was a baby quail.

I found a woman in Apache Junction who would take it. So we jumped in the car and we drove it there. This woman was wonderful. She took this baby bird out of the box and promised she would keep it safe. She would introduce it to the other quail she had and eventually put it in her aviary. When it is old enough she will let the whole group go. My kids were sad to see their little friend go, but glad it would be safe!!!

My baby got her ears pierced!!!!!

I was at the mall today. I did not plan to do it, but I walked by Icing and thought "today is the day!!!" My baby is getting her ears pierced. The funny part is I got in line and picked out the earrings...and I thought NOPE not her. This girl was slow and not certain about a thing. So I left.

Then I found Claire's. I talked to the girl and she seemed much better. Not a lot of personality, but she was awesome. My little princess was not happy. I think she thought she was getting shots. Nothing good ever happens with me sitting in a chair holding her arms.

She did cry. But not much. I gave her a sucker when it was over and she was fine. I expected her to pull at them, but she has not. I have not done her hair as much lately and she has gotten pretty bad about pulling at her ponies. Normally I get my girls ears done by 6 months...so I thought I might have messed things up. She loves them. I let her see her "ears" in the mirror. At a little over a year, she is proud. Am I in trouble or what?

Silly things kids do.....

Yesterday I see this....

I think it is a fluke, grab the book and put it back on the shelf.

My kids love these turtles and want to feed them all the time. They are loved.

But today I saw the book again propped up towards the tank. I am now a little more curious. I look at the page that it is opened to.... This is the page....

Could it be true my kids found this book, opened it to the page with red ear sliders,(Mind you I did not know it existed, since I am not sure where this book came from?)and propped it up so they could see a picture of what they are?

I think they did. How cute is that?

OOPs...I need to pay attention!!!!!

Since school has started I get the call. I can time it. About 2:35.....Mom, Can you pick me up....it's so hot!!!!

I pick them up because in this heat, I don't want to walk down the street to get the mail. Let alone walk home from the high school. I hate getting hot and sweaty. They do too.

So of course I rally my kids and pick them up. It is a busy time of day to be in the car. I hate the traffic at that time. Both the junior high and high school get out at 2:30 ish. This time I pick them up at the band room instead of in front of the church. I am faced the wrong way. I know this. It is almost 3 now so I decide I do not need to turn around and go out the same way I came. So I drive towards the junior high. I cut thru the back side and out the front. So I get by the soccer fields and I see a LINE of buses!!!!Of course I wait....and wait. Then I see an opening.....

I go for it!!! At this point another line of buses are coming. I know I should not be there. Then I see a teacher. I can read her mind. Her arms are folded and her face is hard. I know I am in the wrong. I want to be some where else. I will never do it again!!! She is still staring.... I need to get out of there. So I go in the out, up the wrong side of the school, and slowly out of the parking lot.

I should of turned around at the band room. Both my kids with permits were in the car with me. So was this a good example for them? Probably not. But we did talk about what I should of done and how to handle things when you are already committed...

First day of school AND Brie'el gets her permit!!!!!

Big day in the Wiles home. First of all......Another summer come and gone:( I can not believe how quickly the summer flew by. We did so much. These past few weeks I had to give up blogging, to keep sanity around the house. I am amazed how much work it takes to get this many kids back off to school.

I was only able to get pics of the little ones. Keigan left at 6am....too early for pics, and the girls are getting a little old for the traditional 1st day of school pictures. But I did get one of Kyler and Bryce. Bryce is going into 6th grade and Kyler 1st. Kilean is in 8th at the junior high and Keigan 11th and Brie'el 10th......Busy Busy Busy!!!!

These boys are adorable!!!!Kyler was proud of his rock band shirt and his black backpack....

This is the group that walk to the bus stop together...They are a cute bunch of kids:)

And they are off!!!!

Everyone had a good day at school. Kyler said he liked it but he "Loves to not be at school" Translation- He'd rather be at home!!!!

The rest had a great day and I think were glad to get back into the swing of things!!!!

Brie'el (MISS THING!!!!) has her permit!!!

Brie'el was really nervous. A lot of her friends told her she would not likely pass the first time. A lot of them took a couple of tries. SHe studied her heart out and PASSED. So my friends I have 2 children on the road now. Watch out!!! And keep me posted if you see them out of control. Now both do not have their license yet... I will keep you posted on that one:)

I took Keigan to get his license yesterday also. He passed his driving test but their needs to be 5 months in between his permit and lisence. He was a little disappointed. I do not blame him, he was planning on driving to school today.
