The party was a hit!!!!

My soccer party went well. We had twice as many people as I thought. I ended up pulling out more tables and chairs out of the garage. That is a good thing.

We ate and ate and ate. The kids played rock band and swam. Most of the girls spent the night. I was really happy with the turnout.

But...... I forgot to take pictures. OOPS That is so unlike me. I think I was a little overwhelmed and simply forgot. I am looking forward to doing it again.

Funny story..... One of the parents ask me for a cup. I say sure in the cupboard over by the door. Then I hear...

"Any cups that are not sippy cups?"

I laugh and say "so you want a cup that does not have a lid and is not plastic?"

7 kids I say!!! picky picky picky

So do I need glasses around here?......tile floor?

Nope I decide not....plastic all the way

Soccer party!!!!

Tomorrow night I am throwing a soccer party for the 93 Premier girls. Hopefully it will give us an opportunity to "bond". You would think since we spend so much time on the field, we would know each other fairly well, but we don't.

I am guilty of sitting on the end. I try to keep to myself. Sometimes I open my mouth too loud and embarrass myself. Or who ever is next to me!!!So in effort to be well behaved I sit by myself. I also have a few of my kids with me. I do not want them bothering anyone else, so I keep them by me. They are great don't get me wrong. But at this level some of these parents get rather annoyed. So again I keep to myself so I do not say anything I may regret!!!

I have suggested we do this monthly. This will be interesting to say the least.
So tomorrow it is time to clean this house and prepare for a little insanity!!! I will keep you posted.......

Everyone was a good sport.

Before I get started look at the temperature in Flagstaff!!! I wish I was there this week.......

We had a fun time. We left at 7:30 AM. I picked up a friend and her daughter, who love a good road trip, and picked up Keigan's friend Brian Jepson. He lives in Peoria. You know the other side of the universe!!!! Don't worry Brian we love you...Then we were off to Flagstaff.

Funny true story.....We were driving down the road minding our own business(The best I can do anyways) and this car comes up behind us. I mention they are going fast and they are not going around me. LOL Cuz I was first right? So the boys in the car are waving and laughing. Well I love to play so I waved back. Then they waved back. So I began to notice who was in the car. A mom a dad and a carful of kids. Could they be going to EFY also? We were not sure. So we write on a piece of paper.....EFY? They scream yes!!!!!! So we are instant friends on the freeway. Then they wrote Sonic in Camp Verde? So we said yes and ate lunch with our new friends. We followed each other the rest of the way there. Then I saw them at Target after the kids were dropped off, and again almost home on the freeway. Our paths were meant to cross today....

Keigan was very excited for today. He has not seen much of his friend this year. He lives in Peoria. It is an hour one way. I love watching them hang out together. I am looking forward to hearing about this experiencce at EFY. Keigan has always enjoyed EFY(this is his 3rd year going!!)

The campus is really pretty. They have a lot planned for this week. I know they will have a great time.

BYE Boys.... remember who you are and what you stand for....And who's going to kick your bottom if you don't!!!!

I'm kidding..... I will miss you andhope you have fun!!!!!

We got home after 6pm. My kids were blitzed. I am so proud of these little guys for being so good. We did not have one melt down. But I did hear the question.....Are we there yet more times than I can remember.

Keigan is off to NAU....

Tomorrow's a road trip. Keigan is going to Flagstaff for the 2nd session of EFY. This will be his 3rd year going, and he is very excited. The best part is he is going with his friend Brian Jepson. he moved to Peoria last year and these boys have been looking forward to this all summer. I will post pictures of our road trip tomorrow night.

I know Keigan will have a good time. Years past he has gone to BYU with friends from our old neighborhood. They are a great group of boys. I miss Keigan hanging around with them. I know he is going to miss going with them this year. They are going a different session.

We have an early take-off tomorrow..... I will keep you all posted.

Oh and Brie'el played in a tournament this weekend in California. They won one and lost one. She came home early due to summer school.---Yes she is the responsible one. Their tournament goes thru Tuesday. Good job Brie'el for playing so well this weekend.

Friendship

This summer we have spent a lot of time swimming across the street at the Stecks house. I may need to sign the adoption papers for Bryce. Every day they are trying to figure out how they can get together. Kelsey loves to play with Jonah. They are so cute to watch.

The kids love to swim in their pool or play in the yard. We are happy to have them for neighbors and such good friends.

Hello Laundry

12 loads of laundry. Can you believe it? I am dreaming about this mess. NO I have nightmare's about this mess.

For those of you that are wondering..... We went camping and had a blast. The weather was excellent. I would say 30 degrees cooler. I did very little. I played with my kids and read a book. I also sat in my chair and listened to the wind. Took pictures and had the best time. Our family played cards a lot. I love it because no one had to go anywhere or do anything. Kelsey loved collecting butterflies. We brought a net. I could not believe how many there were this year. We also caught grasshoppers. It was a little girls dream. I can't count how many times we went to the butterfly field. Flashlight tag was also a family favorite. They could not wait til dark. Eight is too late to start play they all insisted!!!

Our spot.....

butterflies....

fun times.....

fun with dad......

Keigan....

Kyler caught fish!!!! They had their limit on just over an hour. He was so excited. Kyler and Bryce went with Frank and my dad. I think got the biggest one. We went back to the lake and played at the shore for 2 hours!!! Throwing rocks into the water and learning how to skip them. Keigan is the master on that one.

My kids were dirty the entire time. Their faces all had a film on them. I was lucky enough or smart enough to have lots of diaper wipes. Real good for a quick clean-up. We stay at Canyon Point. They have showers!!!! Yeh.

Brenlie did well.(minus the first night) She loved the freedom to go do what ever she wanted. The camp spaces are huge and she took advantage of it. It was hard at first to walk on pine cones, rocks, and pine needles but she took to it quickly!!! That girl LOVES the outdoors.

We had fun. I can't wait to go back next year...OH and we road on our friend's arctic cat!!!! That was real fun also. Note the looks on all my kids faces.

Bryce and Kyler's fish.....

Mommy relaxing with the baby....

the boys...they can be real cute sometimes

Kyler.... He loves this hat. In fact, he wore it all the time.

riding on the quads.....this was a highlight. We all had a blast riding on these.

I forgot to mention. Brie'el is in summer school and missed out on this whole thing:(
Kilean is in Hawaii!!!! I am sure she misses us but is really enjoying her 14 day stay in Hawaii with her friend. I will keep you posted!!!!

It's Tuesday!!!!!

I think I love this stuff!!!!! We try to use "swish swash" every night. Kyler loves the "hot " stuff, but Kelsey does not!!! Kelsey loves this....... and if she is happy, I am happy!!!!!

Canyon Point here I come.....

I do not leave until Wednesday morning. I have a lot to do. Packing for so many is a chore. I am looking forward to getting there. We love to hike ,explore,go on walks, play flashlight tag, eat, horse back ride, and play games. My Dad sets up every year and I am lucky enough to be included in the fun.

These pictures were taken last year.....

These in 2006.....

2005......

As you can see we have a lot of fun doing this. I love to take pictures and soak it all in. My dad and a group of guys go this week every year. They all invite their families and we have fun. I will be gone thru the weekend. I am a little nervous with Brenlie, but will have to make do. Worst case scenario.... I go home early.

Swimming....and LOOK NO FLOATIES!!!!!!!

First and foremost.... Let me brag about Kelsey. I let Kelsey use floaties. Bad decision. She decided she needed them forever and she could not get by without them. So today I worked with her. She is doing so well. Without the floaties. She is using big breaths, working the arms and legs, and moving!!!!She is going under water and going off the slide and swimming to the steps.

Kyler is an animal and has done well for awhile. He wanted pictures taken of him also. Love the summer swimming times. They can not wait to go into the pool.

Now this is a funny one. Kilean loves to do this to Brenlie. And Brenlie loves it when she does it!!!They both are weird.

Mommy Tip Tuesday!!!

I have a great idea that will work great for all of those fun vacations we will all be taking soon. This is me...... Whenever we go anywhere I have a boat load of water bottles with me. Need to keep hydrated right? Usually, they are in my backpack. By the end of the day my back is killing me.When we go to theme parks you spend way too much money on fountain or bottled water for that matter.

Remember when I went to California with the band? As usual, I had my pack pack. There was another dad there with his one water bottle. That is all he had!!!!One water bottle. I thought he will never survive the whole trip with that. Then I started watching him. He was filling up at the water fountain! I thought ICK!!!!

Then I watched more closely. He pulled out of his pocket one of these......

As I shopped around I also have bought and used these....

He had his pocket full of these. We were in California, so the water was not bad. But he made sure he had enough of "singles" to get him thru the weekend. Me on the other hand, if I wanted anything other than water, I had to fork out 5 dollars for a soda.

I love this idea. It is easy to pack and does not take a lot of room. Oh and it fits on your pocket too!!!!
