This weekend''''

My crazy life leads me to Las Vegas this weekend. This will be Brie'el's last tournament. When you play high school ball you can no longer play club. I love high school ball. She practices at school. They are bused everywhere. I LOVE it. She made Varsity. I hope she has a great season. Last year she was injured and was out most of the year.

I hope the girls do well this weekend. It is always good to end on a good note.

It is going to be cold. I hope it is not windy. But....it usually is. Wish us luck!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving

First off all I want to wish everyone a happy turkey day. I look forward to this time of year. I love the holidays. I think Thanksgiving kicks off the Christmas season. It is also a countdown...to the best day ever. Christmas.

I am looking forward to a great dinner at my moms. I hope everyone has a great day. I am going to try hard not to consume 4,000 calories tomorrow. I read that is an average calorie intake.I guess that explains why I feel like I am in a food coma after we eat!!!

Kyler's trophy

Kyler is so excited about this trophy!!!! This last Saturday was our last soccer game for Kyler and Bryce. (No shedding of tears here!!!)

Kyler learned a lot and enjoyed the new friends he made on this team. We had great team parties at the park and we all had bunch of fun. I am super happy this league starts so early. So we are done before Thanksgiving!!! Good thinking!!!

My baby girl is sick!!!

I thought I would have some time to blog. I spoke too soon. Sunday night I tried to go to the movies with Frank. I got a call from Brie'el. It went something like this....

"Mom Brenlie threw up all over my room. It smells disgusting. It is in my soccer bag on my floor and bed. Mom she is sick!!!!"

My response..."I guess you were unable to get her to the bathroom?"

We went home. I have been snuggling with her for the past 24 hours. When she is asleep It's laundry time. I am sure by Thanksgiving it will be my turn!!!

I having been sleeping in Kelsey's bed, because it seems like she throws up more at night. I just want it over with. THROW UP is gross!!!

Marching Band

Keigan is on marching band. He is not into sports. Although he played baseball for about 10 years. He just got too old to play and had no desire to play in high school. But he really enjoys band. He spends a lot of time practicing. If you live in my neighborhood, you might hear them every morning bright and early.

Their band is small, but they are a proud bunch. Saturday I went to Mesa High School and watched our band perform. This band kicks some booty. They scored "Superior" Keigan was happy with that.

I brought Kelsey and she had a good time watching the bands play. She took a special interest in the color guard and the xylophone. She wanted to know why no one was wearing pink!!! Can you imagine a pink school uniform? Clearly she is 4!!!

I always tell my kids, try to find a passion. For Keigan it is marching band. This is a great group of kids. I like that he is busy and out of trouble. I like that he is making friends and having fun.

Bottom line.... I was proud of Keigan today.

I'd rather swing...

Kyler has soccer practice every Friday night. We are 2 games from being done with our season. Tonight he informed me he was done. I have to share our dialogue....

Kyler....I am done with soccer.
Mom......Really? I thought you were having fun.
Kyler....I am but... I'd rather swing.
Mom......Swing? That is not a sport.
Kyler....I know but it should be. Just look it up on the internet and make it one!!!!
Mom......Did you learn anything new at soccer?
Kyler....Yes. I do not want to run.

Got Post it?

Kelsey loves paper, pens, colored pencils, sharpies, crayons, tablets, colored paper,notebooks..... you get the picture. On this day she found my stack of post it notes. I had three of them and she wanted the orange one. It started with her putting them around my kitchen island. Brenlie kept pulling them off!! She realized you could "restick" them. This was a good thing to learn.

I put Brenlie up to bed. I came downstairs to this!!!

She is so funny. She had already started to write notes to herself and a few pictures. She let me know if I needed to remind myself of anything I could!!!I'm thinking Kelsey may get some post its in her stocking this year.

Our St. Louis Stories....

I don't know where to begin. I must start with we did have fun. The girls did also. But, Their soccer was not good. A far way to travel to get our butts whooped. So the theme of this entry is going to be the weather and the scenery!!! I could not get enough of the beautiful 70 degree days and the change of color!!!

It was fun to watch them play in a corn field rather than the desert. I could not keep my eyes off the beautiful fall presence...

The great part in loosing was we had plenty of time on Sunday to check out the sight!!!The Jefferson National Expansion Memorial was top on out list. This was so fun to go up in.

The muddy Mississippi River. We had a great time walking long this river looking around.. Across the river was Illinois where we played our tournament.

The leaves.... Do you see what I am talking about?

The Team

Brie'el and I. I know you all love my braid. One of the moms and I had a bonding moment and she braided my hair.

I love this Arch picture!!!

Did I mention we were team bonding? This is another team picture.

See at the very top of this arch? That is where we ended up. You sit in this pod. It seats 5. They shut the door and it takes you to the top. You get out and there are little windows that you can look out!! The view was spectacular.

The Mississippi River again.

This picture I am getting creative. Can you now guess that I love taking pictures and would love to take a photography class?

Are you tired of leaves yet.... I am not:)

LOVE

We still had another hour to kill so we went to the St. Louis Train Station. We bought fudge and shopped a little. Yes cuz with 14 girls we needed to shop just a little!!!

I have no idea what this building is. But it was beautiful. So as I was driving I whipped out my camera and took a shot. I miss anything looking historical. In this beautiful town we live in I miss history. Kelsey says it best...She says..."You know where we live Mom?" "In the middle of nowhere!!" I think she may be right.
