I know I am a little bit early....But I have time now. I hope all my friends have a great day with their kids. I am hoping we all here have fun with this day. It is a fun one...I must say it brings out the inner child:)

Crazy Weekend.....

We left Thursday at 2pm. I boarded a bus with 39 band students and 9 chaparones for San Diego California. Woo Hoo!!!! I had fun. We went to the Heritage Festival. We came in 2nd!!!! Go Desert Ridge!!!!! We played really well. I am glad I had a chance to be there. It was nice to get to know everyone.

We also went on the USS Midway. It was huge. I have never been on it before, but would totally take Bryce and Kyler. They would get a kick out of all the planes and rooms on this boat.

Then we went to the beach!!!!!.Everyone loves the beach. They got to play for 2 hours before we left for our next adventure.

Last but not least Sea World!!!! We all had a blast. We spent most of the day there. We had our award ceremony, dinner, and a Shamu show in the evening. But during the day, we were on our own. We left at 10:30 in the evening and drove thru the night and landed at Desert Ridge at 5 in the AM!! I am still tired. But do not regret going. FUN TIMES!!!!

How long does a tortoise live????

My kids FOUND this tortoise!!!!!Walking down the road in Augusta Ranch. So I guess first of all if you hear of anyone who has lost a desert tortoise let us know. This thing is fast and has an appetite. We are having lots of fun with it. But have found it comes with some responsibility. It needs a hole dug. Must have food and water. Oh, and I need to turtle proof my yard. We don't want to fnd it in the bottom of our pool.
Anyone out there have one of these? Any tips from my neighbors?

Easter Bunny.....

Every year I put my kids thru this. I drag each one to the mall and get a picture with the Easter Bunny and Santa. Mind you my oldest is 16 and is DONE with this ritual I started 16 years ago. This year I decided to take the stress out of it and just take the little ones. They wanted to go. I must say I was surpised to hear the comments coming from Kyler and Kelsey. Kyler wanted to know how he could see out of fake eyes and Kelsey wanted to know when we were going to see the REAL bunny, because this one was not real!!!!! FOR THE LOVE!!!!!!! I thought taking the little ones would keep this experience fun and innocent!!!!Brenlie loved it and did not cry. She kept playing with his fake nose. Did Kelsey tell her?

Trapeze school flies high above Gilbert

Nick Thompson, For the Tribune
After 11 years of entertaining people 40 feet above the ground, Dylan Phillips has high hopes for the trapeze school he opened last week on a county island in Gilbert.

VIDEO: Instructor Dylan Phillips talks about the school
SLIDESHOW: See trapeze artists in action

Phillips is now enrolling students to take both introductory and advanced classes at Trapeze U. It is the first school of its kind in Arizona, according to Phillips, and "anyone with a spirit for adventure" is welcome.

The campus consists of an office, changing rooms, several classrooms, and 30-foot full-size flying trapeze apparatus. The trapeze rig is outdoors and easily visible from the street at the southeast corner of Pecos and Lindsay roads.

The construction of the school hasn't gone unnoticed by neighboring businesses.

Kristine Nau, the community manager of Capital Consultants Management Corp., can see the trapeze from her office window across the street.

"Everybody who walks through my door has something to say about the trapeze school," she said. "We look forward to its opening, and I wouldn't mind trying it out myself."

A two-hour class is $65 with an initial sign-up fee of $20, although Trapeze U will waive the sign-up fee through the end of April. The two-hour session includes classroom time and hands-on, "in the air" experience.

The most accessible class is Trapeze Arts 101, where students will learn the basics of the trapeze in the classroom and in the air. While there are no prerequisites for taking classes at Trapeze U, Phillips said a background in gymnastics is helpful for those seeking advanced training.

A Sacramento transplant, the 35-year-old Phillips has been a professional trapeze artist for 11 years, mostly working for Club Med in Florida, the Caribbean, and Bali, Indonesia. After 14 years of competitive gymnastic training from his early childhood, Phillips said, "I found in the trapeze a way to utilize my experience, to travel, and to have fun. I'm hoping to share that fun with other people."

The 100-plus degree summers in the Valley will be a difficult challenge for the school's outdoor trapeze rig. During the summer, Phillips plans to conduct classes early in the morning or after sunset. The trapeze apparatus does have a lighting system that will allow the school to teach night classes.

In addition to teaching classes at the school, Phillips plans on catering to corporate parties and believes that Trapeze U will be a great venue for company team-building exercises.

At the end of the day, Phillips said, the trapeze is a way for people to push the limits and do something they've never done before.

"Everyone has different goals on the trapeze," he said. "Some people want to do a double back flip, and some people just want to get on the platform."

Phillips and the other members of the faculty are all active trapeze artists, so class times may vary each week depending on the artists' professional obligations. Phillips has set up a phone number, (888) 872-7101, so prospective students can call to find out when classes will be held the following week.

Happy Birthday to me......

Frank took me here..... I was not sure what I was going to do.....

Then he said go in here.... I'll see you in 4 hours:)
I had so much fun. First I had a 90 minute massage. Need I say more? It was AWESOME. Then I had a body wrap followed by an epicure. WOW!!!!!!!
I'm not sure what i enjoyed most. The massage or being gone for 4 hours without any commands from the little ones. I was pampered and felt like butter when I left. Then we went to dinner at Macaroni Grill. The girls watched the babies and did a great job. Frank made me a wonderful cake filled with strawberries and whipped cream. He sure did good this year:)

Kindergarten fun!!!!

Kyler is so excited for Easter. When I first got into class they all had their Bunny Ears they were working on....

Then they had their egg hunt. There were eggs everywhere. Each child was told 12 eggs each. Kyler was so cute. He did not pick any egg up. He looked at each egg and made a choice. He knew the ones that had playdoh in them. He also liked the ones that had designs on them. I had fun. I always enjoy going to class and helping out. Spring break is all next week so we will have plenty of time to color our eggs.....I can't wait:)

BEA utiful

I was in gold Canyon today, and was happy to have my camera. I love to take pictures of anything. I did not have my good camera but this will do for today. I am a northwest girl and it has taken me awhile to see the beauty in the desert. I am used to lush land with lots of green. I must say after 10 years here in the valley, this is beautiful!!!!!!

Tagged!!!!!!!

1. I can't sleep with any noise in the room. if I hear ANY sounds I am annoyed!!!!!We used to have a fish tank in our room, but we had to take it out years ago due to lost sleep.

2. I love vacuum lines and lawn mower lines on my lawn. I want new carpet in our house now. We have berber and there are no lines!!!!!

3. I love it when my kids are clean. Ok i know that is not weird, but the fact I still want my 6 year old boy to smell like Johnson's baby lotion may be. He finally said, I want to smell like a boy. So he has to smell like TAG. And no more "slippery stuff"

4. I dream about high school a lot. Usually it is 9th or 10th grade. We moved back to Washington my sophomore year. But I dream about living in Michigan and getting lost at school every day. It's been awhile, but it is my most reoccurring dream

5. Our family loves Disneyland. We go there quite often. We know every exit, bathroom, fast pass, single entry option there is. It is a magical place for us.

6. I also am not a fan of antibacterial gel. It burns my hands and I don't believe it works. I like soap better.

7. I hate dirty socks. I hate socks with holes in them. I wish I could wear socks outside with out them getting filthy. Kind of wierd huh? Oh ya, I can't stand my feet getting dirty either.

8. One more thing....I can't stand it when my hands get pruny out of the shower.
it makes me crazy!!!!

Michele, Amy, Julie, and Ruth you are it!!!!! (I only have 4) Sorry:)

A Special thank you....

I have lived in this neighborhood for a year and a half now. It has taken me awhile to feel like this is home. When you leave a place you lived for more than 10 years you leave a lot behind. Familiar faces at my kids school,my bank, grocery stores, little league, scout programs..... you get the point. With 7 kids I knew a lot of people. I felt very grounded. Even though we did not moved very far, I felt a little lost. Everything was new to me. Now first of all there is a lot of people to thank.......I don't want to mention them all cuz I don't want to get in trouble of missing one. This neighboorhood has done a good job of extending themselves.

Tonight was a lot of fun. Thomas Wicke invited my whole family (of 9 mind you!!!) for dinner. Frank and I had so much fun. When I got home Frank said, "You know, the feeling of having friends and a sense of neighborhood, adds value to your life."

Now not many of you know Frank. He works a lot and when he gets home, after a long 10+ hour day,he is tired. When we have time off, it is usually spent catching up with lifes details. Tonight was fun. Thanks for the good food and all the laughter!!!!
Oh by the way.....Thomas can grill!!!!! They both are awesome cooks. Thanks Again:)

Amazing Jakes!!!!

It's now Bryce's turn to have his birthday party....... Ok let me start this story with the words..... five 11 year old boys. Do you wish you were there? Did you know they can giggle more than girls? I had a lot of fun with these guys. They ate all the food they wanted. The buffet was filled with a lot of options. Pasta, pizza, potaoes, salad, cookies, cakes, jello, pudding, need I say more? Oh and unlimited trips at any time. A boys dream. The birthday package included unlimited lasertag, bumper cars, and go carts. They also had more tokens they could possibly use. The party was supposed to be over at 9:30pm. We left at 11pm. I was so tired, but I did not have the two litle ones. They were home in bed. I am thankful for 13 and 15 year old daughters.I sat and watched them all night and played some of the games. Frank showed up after work and it was all good.My February Birthdays ARE OVER!!!!!!!

Soccer Soccer Soccer

Brie'el had a soccer tournament the same weekend as the Pinewood Derby. Not to mention it was Bryce's birthday on Sunday the 24th. It was our home tournament so both Kilean and Brie'el played. Brie'el's team came in 2nd Place. I missed the game. I was selling hotdogs at Highland Junior High. All of my kids pitched in to make this weekend possible. Keigan,Bryce,Kyler, and Kelsey picked up garbage as one of our assigned jobs. Our teams played well and I was glad that weekend was OVER!!!!

Where have I been?

I have been soooooo busy. I don't even know where to begin. First Bryce had his pinewood derby.. We are lucky enough to have wonderful neighbors who helped Bryce with his car. Ethan Steck took Bryce under his wing and helped him make the most wonderful car ever.I am still so thankful for his help. We would of gotten this done without him.It was a lot of work but worth it in the end.....
