I have 3 band concerts this week. Tonight was Kilean's turn. Kilean had a small solo. She really does not like to shine in band. She has been taking private lessons since the 4th grade and is amazing. She does not think so. She has a true talent that she has been blessed with. She is fortunate to have wonderful tone and the ability to sight read easily. It is hard for her teacher to find music that is a challenge for her.
Her band teacher pretty much gave her the part and told her to play. She did so well. She was recognized tonight with a trophy. She was honored for the "Most Outstanding Musician" Award for the 7th grade. She has superior musicianship and dedication. She has shined throughout the year,positively impacting the rest of the ensemble!!!!!!!
